Nuggets 115 - Jazz 106
120th Straight Regular Season Jazz Home Game
126th Straight Jazz Home Game w/ Preseason

this game started out the same way the last game ended.. with a bunch of booing.. it ended and there should have been more booing, but the crowd held back a bit this game.. maybe it was because most had already left..

i got to the game pretty early today, about an hour or so.. giveaway was State Farm LED fans that light up and say things like "Statefarm", "Like a good neighbor" and "Go Jazz".. our normal usher was gone and we had a replacement usher.. he was better than the last replacement usher (or maybe two replacement ushers ago)...

denver had the first half owned.. they were up for a majority of it, and pretty much put a stop to any Jazz runs with an open basket, three or a fastbreak.. they were playing well in the first half, and knowing our recent record in jersey nights, i wasn't looking forward to the 2nd..

halftime was Adrian Dantley's jersey retirement.. not as many photographers on the floor as for Stockton and Malones, but quite a few.. his family and friends came out first.. followed by old coaches, and then former teammates.. no Malone tonight, but Stockton was there and was given a pretty good ovation when he was introduced.. the crowd held back a bit, knowing that it was Dantley's night..

a few people talked, his old coaches, the former Jazz owner, Larry Miller, Stockton.. the crowd cheered as Stockton came to give his speech again, it's always fun seeing Stockton.. i wish Malone would have been there..

Dantley talked for quite a while.. he was pretty funny.. he said Melo and Iverson gave him a hard time, saying he must not have been very good since his jersey wasn't up there.. he was happy it finally was.. he said some day he hopes to coach the Jazz, after Jerry and Phil step down.. that would be a welcome change i think.. his jersey was unveiled with a countdown, and the normal song played at these things, "simply the best". that one should have been Stockton's song..

around the start of the 3rd quarter, everyone was looking up and pointing.. so, i looked up to see what it was.. i saw smoke coming from a light.. more and more smoke started coming from it.. i we can't see to the stop of the raftors from where we sit, but someone was there and disconnected the light, then took it off.. it stunk for the rest of the night.. it was pretty funny..

the nuggets played well in the 2nd half also.. the Jazz cut their lead to just 3, but couldn't stop Denver and they pulled off the win.. stupid Jazz.. get things together come playoffs time at least..

see you Saturday against Phoenix.. (beat Dallas on Friday)
