My 97th Straight Jazz Home Game (Preseason Included)

this game was a fun one despite some bad play and horrible calls in the first half.. it was also really, really cold outside so walking (about a block) to the arena seemed longer.. it's nice to not have to put the Spurs win, i thought there was no way we would win after that first half..

not too many interesting happenings to write about.. at half time, some spurs fans were relocated over by where me and my pops.. i guess some trouble with jazz fans in other sections, but that's a long story... just a guy and a girl.. the girl cheered for the Spurs, but it was nice to see them leave about 2 minutes early when they finally realized they wasted their money.. good stuff, go Jazz..

in one of my pics, it says (see blog).. the pic is of a couple of old ladies that sit right on front of us.. it's really nice having old people in front as they tend to stand up less the older they are... aside from one of their oxygen devices constant clicking noises (mostly drowned out in the crowd thoug), it's not so bad.. one of them stood up a couple times late in the game.. the moral of this story is - sitting behind old people is under-rated...

enjoy the jazzcrap.. jazz are flying to LA tonight for the Laker game tomorrow, let's shoot for 14-3!

man, it's a bummer typing Orlando's score before ours.. stupid Jazz.. we haven't lost at home since April 4th, against the Spurs.. it's a good thing I left at halftime and didn't have to see the loss..

season low in points means season low in pictures... and a season low recap, and a late one too.. bring on the spurs! i'll be in it for the whole game then..

there's just something about when we play the lakers that makes the game more exciting.. maybe it's because so many lakers fans come out to the good old DELTA CENTER and make a ruckus for their team.. i guess it's all about being a fan of the game, but there's nothing like hearing a stupid Lakers fan finally shutup and quit yelling, "go kobe" when they realize they're going to lose.. ahh, now that's satisfaction...

the game was exciting and the arena seemed pretty full.. lots of mixtures of yellow and jazz colors, but mostly as expected the crowd was a jazz crowd..

at halftime, the upperbowl got sort of a wave going that made it around the arena a couple times.. it was right when the halftime show, recycle percussion, was starting so it kinda faded away right when it was going good.. good job upper bowl, waves are always fun..

some of the pictures looked really good tonight when i was looking at them on my laptop.. turn your monitor brightness up, the pictures look at bit better..

we'll see how long this winning goes.. enjoy the top few pics, and see you Monday night when we host the current eastern conference leading Orlando Magic..

i was bummed about the announcement of the new name.. i'll miss the Delta Center, the new name is just ridiculous.. i'll be calling it, "the arena formerly known as the Delta Center".

happy birthday Carlos Boooooooozer.....

this afternoon, I went and drove by the airpot because i knew the Raptor's plane would be there.. it arrived from Denver the day before and was there all afternoon today. i'm sure they fly out either tonight or tomorrow, not sure if they next game is a roadie or back home... see the picture of the plane below, in the top photos... interesting...

the game was ok.. i was expecting us to pull forward and stay ahead most of the game, but the Raptors kept it interesting and the Jazz finally pulled ahead in the fourth.. anyways.. i didn't take too many pictures... enjoy the 39 or so that i did...

wow.. what a game this one turned out to be.. the arena was so loud at times and the fans were just electric.. it turned out to be a great night to pick Paul Millsap for my nba.com fantasy pick one player of the game.. he earned me 56 big points, way to go paul...

the jazz unveilled their new alternate road jerseys tonight. the suns wore their home white jerseys.. i like the new roadies.. i wish my new "slakis" jersey i'm getting for being a season ticket holder was in the new road colors, but i doubt it will be...

millsap played fantastic, except for fouling out (which i blame on the sucky refs anyways).. the jazz played well most of the first half.. our momentum was sucked out of us by the crappy refs in the 3rd when we kept getting foul after foul called on us.. the crowd was going crazy booing the refs, i couldn't believe what they were doing to us...

halftime was a weird lady who shot a bow and arrow with her feet at a target while holding herself up with her hands.. weird..

i totally thought in the 4th quarter when we went down by 15 that this was it. that it was going to be our first home loss since April 4th when we lost to San Antonio.. the Jazz kicked into gear and everyone chipped in to pull out the victory.. clutch free throws by boozer, memo and williams were the key for us, and i'm so happy we didn't miss any of them..

it was fun seeing raja again but it was funner seeing him foul out.. he's a good guy, but it just seemed like he was out to try to get us tonight.. he threw someone on the ground and was called for an offensive foul, but i think that was in the first half.. i'm just happy he fouled out and wasn't there at the end of OT when they were down by 3..

anyways.. enjoy the pics.. 9-1 now.. see you monday for Toronto's game...

My 92nd Straight Jazz Home Game (Preseason Included)

i've been offline for a while and this is actually the first real update since the preseason.. i've finsihed the pics from the first 3 games, so check them out.. recaps are pretty much non existant, but the pics are good, check them out... good to be back, sorry for the downtime...

this game was an exciting one, more exciting considering the Jazz and Clippers were two of the west's top teams.. the jazz pulled out the W again in this one despite the fact that AK is gone for a few games at least.. poor AK, i wish he'd toughen up and quit getting hurt.. anyways..

the first half... the refs made and missed quite a few calls that sent the crowd into boos.. i can think of at least one right now, when brewer made a hard layup and was hit by a clipper player.. the basket was good, but no call whatsoever.. stupid refs...

hafltime was probably the most boring halftime ever.. the BYU ROTC performed at half time.. enough said, i think i'll watch Ostertag practing free throws before i'd sit through that again... i'm just glad it's over now..

the jazz fought hard and won the game in the 2nd half.. we really didn't start playing too well until late in the 3rd quarter when we took control and never let go after that.. i hope we play as well again on Saturday when Phoenix is in town.. enjoy the pics!
